About Kenzie's Dancin' Out

Kenzie’s Dancin’ Out began with a simple passion: creating a space where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated. We started our journey in Matthews, NC, grew into a space in Monroe, NC, and eventually found our forever home in Cherryville — the place where our vision truly came to life.

From day one, our goal has been to offer more than dance classes. We focus on confidence, creativity, resilience, and connection. The video below captures the heart of who we are: meeting dancers right where they are, building trust, and helping our tiniest to older dancers shine.

MacKenzie began dancing at 3 years old and trained in various dance genres, including Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical.  Her passion for dance led her to take up competitive dancing when she was just 8 years old, which enabled her to cherish the moment of performing on stage.  Besides her proficiency in dancing, MacKenzie is also knowledgeable in cheerleading, and tumbling. In 2023, MacKenzie earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology. Despite this accomplishment, she quickly made the decision to open up Kenzie's Dancin' Out - a lifelong dream come true. As Owner and Director of the studio, MacKenzie also serves as its primary choreographer/instructor for all classes offered at Kenzie's Dancin' Out, where she shares her love for dance with others.

Dancing is incredible in every way! It brings immense happiness, keeps me active, and makes me feel fantastic. The greatest satisfaction of being a dance instructor lies in seeing my students blossom into exceptional dancers while growing as delightful, compassionate, and self-assured individuals.

At Kenzie's Dancin' Out, Tamara occupies the role of office manager and actively participates in a variety of tasks such as facilitating communication with families, offering support at studio camps and events, and being deeply involved in all aspects related to improving administrative efficiency.
